The tails of the brow are darker and starts to fade as it moves closer to the front of the brow.
Ombre brows can last anywhere from 1-3 years. A touch-up is done 5-12 weeks after the initial session to replace any color lost during the healing process. It is very important that clients follow the aftercare instructions. Clients who choose a softer look, lighter ink or do not follow the instructions properly may require more frequent color boosters.
Factors that will cause your semi-permanent brow tattoo to fade faster:
Tanning bed / sun exposure
Exfoliating
Oily skin
Medical conditions
A topical anesthetic cream is applied to numb the brow area. Additional brow gel is applied throughout the process to make sure the client is as comfortable as possible. Pain varies from person to person. Some clients feel nothing, while others every minimal discomfort.
The appointment usually takes approximately three to four hours, give or take.
The full healing time is 4-6 weeks. Immediately after your service the eyebrow area will be slightly red and color will appear dark, but there is no down time! In the following days you can expect the area to get darker as it scabs. Yes, your brows will scab as they heal themselves. Please allow the scab to fall off to avoid pulling additional pigment from your skin. Picking the scab may also damage your skin and greatly affect the pigment's retention.
Touch-ups are required to replace any color lost during initial healing and to make any small corrections to the brows after the initial procedure. Certain areas may not fully pick up the pigment during the first session and will need to be refilled. Touch-ups also ensure maximum results and desired outcome. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your brow tattoo does not heal perfectly the first time, the touch-up is necessary to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year.
Absolutely NOT! Please do not tweeze, thread, wax or modify your brows in any way for as long as possible prior to (at least a couple weeks). The more hair you have, the more natural your brows look. Any hair that is not needed will be removed at your appointment.
Microblading uses a hand tool to create realistic looking hair strokes in the browline. Microshaded brows help clients achieve more of a powdered or ombre look instead of individual hair strokes. Powdered brows have a soft makeup look and work great for clients with oily or mature skin.
There are a wide range of color options available to clients. Colors are typically used that complement the client's skin, hair and eye colors. Black is NOT an option.
